Karen knows the Toronto market and its people well; it is her hometown. Forty years ago she worked in her family’s lumber business in Bloordale Village. There she developed superior negotiating skills dealing with the building trades. Next she cut her teeth on the fundamentals of leveraging and investing when the family business set its eyes on property acquisition. Over the years she worked as a painter, sculptor and art teacher, and later on as a small business owner. Her loyalty to family and friends is unwavering—it is an unrelenting protectiveness for them mixed with an insatiable drive to promote their best interests.
