As first-time homebuyers, we were nervous and didn’t know what to expect with the process. Karen was patient and realistic with us, taking the time to make sure we knew all aspects of the home buying process, and ensuring we didn’t have any unanswered questions. She would regularly send us properties that crossed her path, and would preemptively view properties for us to make sure that we weren’t wasting our time seeing something that wasn’t to our tastes.
I remember one instance where we were walking from an open house, and we passed a house that wasn’t for sale and we remarked how we liked the curb appeal. She jumped at the opportunity, asking if we wanted her to ring their doorbell and see if they were thinking about selling and if they had a price in mind. She was willing to bend over backward to get us into a house that we liked at the best price possible.
We never once felt pressured to make an offer we weren’t comfortable with, and we appreciated Karen’s realistic and unbiased feedback about the chances of our offer being accepted. I appreciated her candour and her sense of humour. We will certainly be using the Willer team again when it’s time to upgrade (although, we are so pleased with our purchase, who knows if that will ever happen!)
